Itineraries

Day 01: Pick up from Kampala/Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

On this day your driver-guide to start your 5 Day Gorillas and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari will pick you from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe or from Entebbe Airport and start the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, this drive is long but worth it you will enjoy amazing sceneries and meet up with the local communities along the way. You will have a stop at the Equator for photographs, lunch en-route, and other optional multiple stops depending on your request and time. Drive time: 8-9 hours drive.

Day 02: Gorilla tracking Experience in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing and gorilla group assignment. Once your group is set, two expert ranger guides will lead you deep into the misty jungle of Bwindi in search of the majestic mountain gorillas. Trackers will guide the way using fresh signs from the previous day, and once you find the gorillas—get ready for an unforgettable one-hour encounter. Watch them play, feed, and interact just a few meters away. It's a strenuous but incredibly rewarding hike, with a 99% success rate. After the trek, return to the base to receive your gorilla tracking certificate—a proud souvenir of one of Africa’s greatest wildlife experiences

Day 03: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Have a morning game drive through the Mweya Peninsula with all your belongings in the Car. If not game drive, you can visit Katwe Salt Lakes after you will drive to Kibale National Park with a stopover for lunch en-route on your way to the National Park. On influx, you will have a nature walk through the Bigodi Swamp awesome sightseeing of the resident monkeys and birds. Kibale Forest National park is home to 13 species of primates and over 335 bird species making it a popular destination for birders and primates lovers. Drive time: 4-5 hours drive

Day 04: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi wetland walk

Subsequently, you will have an early breakfast with that you will be guided to Kanyanchu head offices for a briefing about the track that you will be carrying out in a couple of hours. From there you will start the Chimpanzee tracking but that is not the only species you will be seeing today, you will be able to see 12 other different primate species like vervet monkeys, gray-cheeked mangabeys and baboons. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee guest house or Turaco Treetops Lodge
